8:30 Kindergarten, 1st, Calcaterra, Farrell
10:00 Clark, Gulley, Webb, 3rd, 4th Grade


Fundraiser items will be delivered Wednesday, November 29th. Students will not be allowed to take large items on the bus.
Parents can pick up items after school 3:00-5:00.
K-4 parents will pick up in the 3-4 gym.
5-8 parents will pick up in the 5-8 commons.

Benton Grade School is excited to announce the first issue of Connections#47 quarterly magazine will be hitting community mailboxes this week. This is the first of four issues you will see throughout the school year. The publication will highlight various students, faculty/staff, and programs that make Benton #47 a special place to work and learn. In addition to the publication, the district will be dropping 12 podcasts highlighting various topics in education. The magazine and podcasts can also be accessed from our district website's Connections#47 landing page located in the NEWS section. Hope you enjoy! Have a great week!

Girls Basketball tryouts will be on Wednesday, after school. You must have an updated physical to participate.

BGS Parents: Today all students were given information about eLearning days. Please check your k-4 student’s backpacks and ask your 5-8 students for the information. Once you receive the information, if you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

Good luck to our boys baseball team as they will compete in the STATE SERIES tomorrow at 12pm in Centralia. We want to make sure our fans are following the SIJHSAA guidelines listed below as we go and show our support.
*SIJHSAA Article IV Contests: Section 9: The SIJHSAA forbids bringing animals (dogs, cats, etc.) to our contests
*SIJHSAA Article IV Contests: Section 7: The SIJHSAA prohibits the use of all types of noise makers, confetti, radios, poms, rally towels, shakers, thunder sticks, camera lights, laser lights and tripods in the stands. Signs must be no larger than a legal sized sheet of paper. (8 1/2 inches X 14 inches)
*No trailers, enclosed trailers, or grills allowed on site. A full concession stand is located at each state site.
*No alcohol allowed or consumed at any SIJHSAA State Site.

BGS Parents:
Benton#47 will be closed on Thursday, September 21, to allow faculty, staff, and students, to attend visitations and funeral services. We will be back in session on Friday, September 22.

BGS Parents,
We will follow our 2:50pm dismissal schedule. BGS will NOT dismiss early today.

BGS Parents: Due to the tragic event yesterday evening, we will be providing additional support for our students who might have concerns, questions, or be struggling emotionally. Tomorrow and through the remainder of the week, we will have additional social workers at BGS available to see students. If you are concerned about your student, please call the 5-8 office and we will get them the support needed. On behalf of everyone at BGS, we extend our deepest condolences to the families involved and the entire Benton High School family.
