The Jr. High Art students have recently created artworks for the Benton Public Library Tiny Art Show. Artists ages five-adult were able to participate in this exhibition. Each student received a tiny 3” x 3” canvas, three primary paint colors, and a paintbrush. Students then began designing their own mini masterpieces. They created original silhouette paintings where they chose their own subject matter to create a recognizable silhouette with a blended, gradient background. Students also had to overcome the challenges of working on such a small surface. The artworks are now on display in the Benton Public Library and will be there through March 11th.
